Community Development: East TN Environmental Educators

East Tennessee Environmental Educators (ETEE) is a group of environmental professionals focused in public education and outreach regarding the diverse ecosystems of the East Tennessee region.  Their work is funded through a 604(b) grant to the East Tennessee Development District from the Tennessee Department of Environment & Conservation.  In the 2022 calendar year, the program will be focused in three rural counties of ETDD:  Cocke, Monroe, and Union Counties.

Cocke County

The ETEE project team held a kick-off meeting with Cocke County Mayor Crystal Ottinger and Solid Waste Director Chandler Hembree on March 25, 2022.

Monroe County

The ETEE project team held a kick-off meeting with Monroe County Mayor Mitch Ingram and Solid Waste Director Stacy Chambers on February 4, 2022.

Union County

The ETEE project team held a kick-off meeting with Union County Mayor Jason Bailey, Keep Union County Beautiful Director, Tammie Carter, and Executive Assistant Heather Sizemore on February 17, 2022.
